Class 4 Shingles

The Roof That Survives the Storm. EDIT

Hail-rated. Insurance-discount eligible. Backed by our leak-free workmanship warranty.

WHAT CLASS 4 ACTUALLY MEANS

Underwriters Laboratories built a test called UL 2218. It fires a 2-inch steel ball at a shingle at terminal velocity — about 90 mph. The shingle either cracks, or it doesn’t.

There are four impact-resistance ratings:

Class 1

survives a 1.25″ steel ball

Class 2

survives a 1.5″ steel ball

Class 3

survives a 1.75″ steel ball

Class 4

survives a 2″ steel ball

Class 4 is the top of the chart. It’s the only impact rating most insurance carriers will give you a real discount for installing.

REAL-WORLD PROOF

We’ve installed Class 4 roofs across Northeast Oklahoma. One of them sat next to a metal barn during a serious hail event last year.

The metal barn got hammered. The Class 4 roof? Zero damage. Not a single shingle to replace. Not a single granule loss bad enough to trigger a claim.

THE INSURANCE DISCOUNT

Many homeowner’s insurance carriers across Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, and Arkansas offer a 10–30% premium discount for installing Class 4 impact-resistant shingles.

That discount stacks every year you own the home.

We’ve seen homeowners recoup the upgrade cost from premium savings alone within 3–7 years — before counting a single avoided storm claim or deductible.

We’ll help you call your carrier and confirm the discount before you commit.

ROI MATH

A Class 4 upgrade typically runs [TBD-Kevin: $X–Y / 100 sqft or %] over a standard Class 3 install.

Here’s what you get back:

Insurance premium discount

Insurance premium discount

Avoided deductible after a storm

typically $1,000–$5,000 per claim

Workmanship warranty included

leak-free, in writing

Resale premium

Class 4 + warranty documentation is a real line item to buyers and home inspectors

The cheap shingle saves you money the day you install. The Class 4 shingle pays you back every year you don’t have to file a claim.

PAIRS WITH THE NEW WARRANTY

Class 4 shingles handle the storm. Our New Warranty handles the workmanship — leak-free, transferable to the next owner.

Together you’ve got both sides of the coverage gap closed:

Hail/wind damage

insurance covers it (cleanly, because Class 4 doesn’t fail “cosmetically”)

Install workmanship leaks

we cover it, on paper, for the warranty term
That’s the package most roofers can’t put together, because most roofers won’t warrant their own work past 1 year.
